Blaire Baron Larsen – Author

A 4th Gen Los Angeleno, Blaire began acting professionally at 18 (her first speaking role was on the final episode of Happy Days). Blaire studied at NYU and with Gerlandine Page, performing on/off Broadway at The Roundabout, Ensemble Studio Theater, Playwrights Horizons, Manhattan Theatre Club and The New School (NYU). Blaire enjoys a full career, having appeared in over 50 films and television shows.

In 2014, Blaire‘s play The Basket Weaver, participated in the Samuel French OOB short Play Festival. The Milk Meetings is the sister play to The Basket Weaver and enjoys its premiere this March at Studio C Arts on Theatre Row in Hollywood.

Blaire is also director and founder of The Los Angeles Drama Club: a highly successful non-profit arts program for children 6 -17, where today she serves as Co-Artistic Director (with Julia Wyson) producing “Shakespeare Youth Festival, LA” and directing Shakespeare year-round. Blaire has worked as an arts professional with Gay/Straight Alliance Clubs in local high schools, co-creating theatre pieces about student’s experiences as LGBT teens. She wrote and produced the documentary “Women in Boxes” (2008) and has won numerous screenwriting festivals: Atlanta, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Nicholl (semifinal), Beverly Hills.

In January 2014, PBS awarded Blaire’s non-profit the honor of Community Champions. She and the Los Angeles Drama Club leaders were the focal point of a PBS special tribute.
